Candice Dohman is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Bloomington, Illinois. She is a Midwest native. After a successful first career in Human Relations for over ten years, Candice followed her passion for Clinical Mental Health.
Candice excelled in her advanced degree while being an active mother to four children, nurturing a long-term marriage and large extended family. Candice received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Walden University with high honors and distinctions.
Candice firmly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to assist others in being their best self. She is empathic, generous with her time, enthusiastic, and deeply skilled in the therapy office. She works passionately with adult men and women seeking counseling for mental health challenges and situations. She also enjoys working with teens and tweens and has a gift for creating safe spaces for this population to meet their needs while supporting parents.
Candice has specialized training in marital and couples counseling. She is particularly interested in The Gottman Method, which uses evidence-driven research to examine how couples interact. Candice assists couples in feeling heard, managing conflict, and creating lasting, long-term relationships.
Candice spends her free time shuffling to after-school activities with her family, cooking and baking, and spending time with family & friends.
